Got a B tag now for a Doe, so I'm again headed out this week-end to see if I can get a season double

Great hunt. My son is gearing up to go deer hunting w/bow. I know he has a Bear recurve I bought for him 25 years ago but I think he's going to modernize.

caneman, back in 1968 I started out with a longbow, then in the 90's moved to modern bows. March of this year I pretty much went back to full dedication of the traditional bow.

When you son realizes the expense of the modern bow, he may swing back to the Bear Recurve.

J_B - My first deer kill with a bow was with a Browning recurve. It was a beautiful, short little bow. I confess that I modernized later, but it was never quite the same. Those old recurve bows weighed about a third as much as the compounds and didn't have all the pulleys, cables and stuff to catch on every twig in the woods. I still have a compound, but I probably couldn't pull it back any more, let alone hit anything.

rman, you probably had a Browning Wasp which I own 2 of them. One at 38# and the other at 53#, I also own several Bear Kodiaks

In the photo:

Samick Spikeman 50#
Bear Super Kodiak 55#
Bear Kodiak Hunter 35#
Bear Kodiak Magnum 45#
Browning Wasp 53#
Browning Wasp 38#

Its kind of addicting
