Wiper blades
You would think that the auto parts houses would keep plenty of the most common sizes of wiper blades stocked up, but Noooooooooo. I went to 3 different ones looking for 20" blades for our vehicles, and not a one to be found. Notta. Zilch.

Aggravating isn't it?

Your problem demonstrates one of my pet peeves.
The stores are full to overflowing with general stuff. Stuff picked from the lowest bidder by a central purchasing department somewhere in a shiny building in NYC. And people buy it whether they need it or even want it. But if you're actually looking for something specific, an odd screwdriver bit, 20" wipers or washer parts or a coat just like that one I bought twenty year ago...well good luck. There, that's my rant. I feel better. Sorry Teddy, that's not very helpful. I usually go to the Internet anymore for specific parts. Might hit a store or two if I'm going that way but life's too short for the frustration. |

The AZ sun just eats wipers. Don't use them as much as other states so they just dry up and when you do need them they just chatter as they dance across the windshield.

I remember as a kid, you replaced you wiper blades because the fell apart. Now days, 3-4 mounths is about all you get out of a set.

I've noticed the same thing.

The new ones don't work very well either.
