My heart really goes back to the stock wooden grips... what you think?

They look better but they also look more painful. I love the holster!

I know how you feel J_B. My SR1911`9mm came with rubber grips. I replaced them with a nice set of Ruger Cocobolo wood grips. They look great on the gun, but the rubber grips really felt better. The 9mm doesn't recoil enough to worry about, but the rubber provides a better feel and purchase on the grip frame. I'm going back to the rubber before I shoot it again. That's a great looking revolver, as is the leather!

I gotta vote for the Hogue grips JB. I like functionality over being purty.

Thanks guys.... sitting here with the Hogue Bantam grip in my hand, and the purchase is more positive... reached in where I keep my Redhawk, and my hand wanted to slide right off away from the grip.... Ruger could of had the grip maker put checkering into the wood

Those rubber grips will go a long way toward cushioning the recoil in that .44 Mag also.

I know, I had to play it smart.... getting older means, weaker joints and so on... I'll take the cushy recoil over purty grips
