Now I know...
Decilog (dg): The decilog is a division of the logarithmic scale used for measuring the logarithm of the ratio of two values of any quantity. Its value is such that the number of decilogs is equal to 10 times the logarithm to the base 10 of the ratio. One decilog therefore corresponds to a ratio of 100.1(i.e. 1.25892 +).
Who am I kidding, I still don't know?
Don't feel bad Vetter!

Or, one of the slide rules I used way back in the 60's. I missed the name, I kept the Post Versalog. Multiply, divide, roots, logs, trig functions. Everything except addition and subtraction. Came with holster and belt loop for fast draw calc's. Quite a few NASA space calc's were done with one of these. The Artillery Graphical Firing Tables were basically slide rules

I watched 54 seconds of the 19:40 video. I don't need my geek on. It solved a lifelong mystery in 54 seconds. I know now how a guy with a 147 IQ failed Algebra 3 times.

There was an acronym, SRA, which stood for Slide Rule Accuracy. Usually meant 3 digits and your best guess on order of magnitude, powers of 10.
