Just found me a Super Comanche .45 Colt/410 ga single shot pistol, put it on hold for $10..... let's me think before I actually buy.

I had one of those a few years ago. It was reliable, easy to shoot well, no problems at all. But, after awhile, I just didn't know what I really needed it for, so I traded it off. I stuck to factory ammo and never had an issue with it.

Thinking about using .460 Magnum cases to offset the bullet jump, like the .45 Colt has in the chamber. I've found some
real mild data for the .460 Magnum using 325-gr, 360-gr and 395-gr bullets and Trail Boss powder giving 734 fps to 914 fps which is pretty close to
.45 Colt fps

Interesting shootin iron. I have a feeling though, it's not arthritis friendly.

Yeah, have talked to a few friends.... believe I'll pass on this one, and apply money towards my reloading equipment that I need more.... that will be a pay off to much more shooting.

Spending money on reloading equipment is always money well spent.

I decided not to continue this layaway.... accuracy really suffers for the .45 Colt cartridge because of the bullet jump from brass to rifling.
