The frenzy is over...(for now)
I think that we'll all see prices back where they once were. Our LGS has, Rugar SR series 9mm, .40 and .45's black or stainless all at $389. Beretta M 9's at $579. .9mm or .40 Shields $449. Beretta ARX .22 black rifle's $489. and DPMS .223 for $599. They also have Magpul 30 rounders for $13.99. Plenty of all these items are in stock. Those prices are where we never thought we would see again. Ammo should follow suit! I think it's over!

That's my problem Calvin - got lots of guns with very little to shoot in them.

Wonder of wonders. Went to a lgs today and they had 4,000 CCI 400 Small Rifle Primers. There was supposed to be a 500 per customer limit, but the guy behind the counter likes me and sold me 1,000. They were expensive, but at least I got some.

Our LGS has CCI primers $3.40/100, limit 500 per customer. Spent some time priming .223 yesterday, but I can't find powder. Today's reload is probably .45 ACP, when I get the ambition to go out to the bench. |

My local gun shop has restocked it's shelves with guns. He's been able to get a good stock of handguns and AR rifles. Ammo is still hard to get though. 22 is scarce and 9mm is in, but not much variety in offerings. Mostly just the more expensive self defense type stuff. He did have some target ammo in .45acp though, and quite a few 1911's and other .45 handguns.
I hope we get back to normal sometime soon. I've heard some say that this lack of cheap ammo is the new normal. That would be a shame.

LGS"s around here are still a bit bare. I have been able to find limited .22 lr ammo on the shelves. About $10 for fifty. One shop buys there supply from the internet and charges a higher price, but they are the only ones with primers.
