Default Greener's LC9 at the Range

T'bear talked me into wanting one and my favorite gun shop just forced me to buy one.

Went by the gun shop on the way to the range. I picked up the pistol and headed on to the range, no cleaning.

At 15 yards, my 115gr FMJ rounds loaded to 1150 fps, fired high. Seemed to drop to POA with 125 gr lrn loaded to 1050 fps.

I was very pleased with the pistol until it started failing to fire, or even dent the primers. At 8 in a row, I put it up. I hope this was because I went from the gun shop to the range without cleaning the pistol.

It may just be a cleaning issue, but at least you know Ruger will take care of you.
It looks like it is capable of being a very accurate pistol. Let us know how it all turns out.

Strip it & give everything a good cleaning. Hopefully that will take care of the problem.
You made a good choice greener. Happy shooting!

Hope cleaning it does the Trick. If now, Ruger always stand behind their products.

Sounds like a good cleaning is in order. The way that target looks, it's a good shooter. Dont give up on it.

I'd have to mimic everyone else greener. Give it good cleaning and then back to the range. Looks like it is a shooter.

Field stripped it, cleaned it without removing the firing pin. Did a little better but I had light/no strikes on CCI primers, Win primers and WWB. (I'm still in shock over buying centerfire ammo that wasn't PD). Field stripped it at the range and worked the firing pin. out came a metal flake curlycue. No misfires after that. Tonight I removed the firing pin and retrieved a lot of metal flakes from the pin and the channel.

Might finally be ready for prime time. We'll see.

I'm glad you fixed the problem greener. This is why I always detail strip every firearm I buy. New or used, because you never know what you will find.
Happy shooting, & give us a good range report.

Glad you solved the problem. A guy shouldn't have to go through all that, but you do, no matter who made the gun. Especially if it's going to be a carry gun. I'll mimic the rest - we need another range report.
