Another fallen police officer
Another sad day in Topeka yesterday. We had another police officer shot and killed yesterday afternoon while making a routine traffic stop. He was 40 years old and a 15 year veteran. He is survived by his wife and two sons. One suspect turned himself in later in the day and law enforcement officers are looking for one to two other suspects. It was just a year and a half ago that 2 other Topeka police officers were shot to death. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of this fallen comrade.

So many officers taken down now it's time for departments to go back to "don't bring them in alive" policy. That seemed to be a deterrent for many years. It's like a trophy notch in their ghetto gun now a days. Prayers for his loved ones.

Update: Another person of interest was arrested in the KC area this morning. He's been booked into Shawnee County Jail on unrelated charges - possession of stolen property, obstruction and probation violations.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, and to his fellow officers as well.
God forgive me, but I wish the headine's read "Suspect Shot and Killed" |

Me too Teddybear! That's what happened to the shooters the last time we lost officers.
