Unfortunately, no. The idea about posting it was after the fact and I took no photos of the "during". I may make another for my son shortly. Perhaps that will present a photo op.
The big pieces of the work are annealing the file blank - in a charcoal fire - then shaping which was done roughly on a bench grinder, then on a belt sander, and finally with a series of files. The bolster and the oak scales are a whole 'nother set of details, as is tempering. Pete |
