Ever corner a Bobcat, where they didn't have a way out? If you can't run, you either play dead or fight. I never was good at playing dead. Not much good at fighting either, but I'd try.

I've been carrying a Canemasters hickory heartwood combat cane for several years.

It has a teardrop shaft, finger grips, "dragons teeth" and a "birds beak" crook.

As a SD weapon, a cane can't be beat. It's legal everywhere including airlines.

Check out: www.canemasters.com

Now, now boys...violence never solved anything. (I am a firm believer in firepower instead. Keeps the hands a lot cleaner and doesn't muss up your knickers)

[SIZE="3"][About 6-7 years ago I had that anti-cholesterol medication problem where my joints got weak and I?d fall down etc. I got a cane that my wife?s granddad used and my son bought me fancy cane of hickory. The hickory is too light for me to trust it too much with my weight, at least to use it for heavy support if I?d fall.

The thing that makes it pretty is a pony harness Hame for the handle. Very heavy, chrome plated and the drawback is the law might look on it as a club with the weight in the handle.

With me at 275 I want to find one strong enough I can bridge a chair or limb with and hoist myself up. Dollars are very important too. I?ll check up on the site of Calvin?s.

Now that looks like it will do the job. Thanks I'm even looking at one of those 60" sorting sticks for a walking around woods stick.
