Default knives

You can never have too many knives. I carry an old Barlow in my pocket every day.
Here's a pic of a utility knife, nothing fancy, that I made recently:

Default most favorite

I didn't have a picture before. I just took one. This is my most favorite knife of all that I own. A two inch dropped edge utility knife. It was made for me by David Boye in 1984 and etched by Francine Larstein.
It goes with me pretty much every where, except on airplanes.

Here's one of my favorites, I made it about 5 years ago, using black piano-key ebony with brass swivel-pins and did some fileworking. You can tell from the pics that I'm a lefty

Default A few of my fixed-blades

Here are a few knives I had made back in '05 for some "blade buddies" in Arizona, after our visit to watch them making custom knives in their workshop.

I took knifesmithing classes at our local tech center and, as a result, was, for a time, quite prolific in building and customizing knives. Not so much anymore, but I still have my tools and, once retired, I know what I am gonna do to pass the time

This first one is a Glover I got that was in very bad condition, so I rebuilt it using specked blue "robin egg" corian. A true "one of a kind", don't you think? In fact, it was so unique, I just couldn't give it away after all and it lives in my collection

Here was my first (and last) attempt to use deer antler. Cutting and drilling it stunk up the house for days. My wife put the end to antlers Blade of hi-carbon steel

These last two were made using hi-carbon steel, brass and Okie walnut (barn-dried for 5 years). Really nice wood a friend gave me from the OK panhandle
