.22 long range shooting
This video reminds me of Kansas shooting his 10/22 at his outdoor range.

Very interesting but it makes me think I wasted my youth plinking tin cans.

Wifey and I used to plink tin cans with my Grandfathers rifle, handed down to me, just outside the Philly city limits. Way back when I was 16 Philly, as a city was no firearms when it came to any firearms. Now Wifey and I went to a deserted area in Miquon just outside city limits and killed tin cans. My God, we have been together a long time. I still have the rifle and believe it'll still kill tin cans! I still have the Wifey and am still in love as much or more!

Times have sure changed. When I was in my 20's, a friend and I used to go to the city dump just outside the little town of Chapman. We had plenty of tin cans for targets and the occasional rat. The city dump is long gone, and if it weren't, there would be no shooting allowed. I didn't do much of it as a kid on the farm because ammo was hard to come by. What I had, was mostly spent on rabbits and squirrels. I'd love to have a place to go just to take pot shots at tin cans again.

Before I got a real .22 rifle I had an old hand-me-down Sheridan pellet rifle. Single shot, pump it up.
The sights had been knocked off long before but that didn't seem to matter. No tin can was safe on my range. Wish I had that rifle still, as a keepsake. And yes a place to plink. Sad

We'll need a range report.

I had a feeling that was coming. (BTW, my pellet gun has a flash suppressor.)
