Default Range report from 1 August 2019

I went to the range last Thursday and shot these 3 1911's.

The one on the left is the Colt Lightweight Officer. This is the first time I have shot it since I replaced the recoil spring as well as the hammer spring. It was softer shooting than the first time I shot it with the old springs. It really shoots good now.

The middle one is the good ole Colt Gold Cup. This thing has always been a "if I can see it I can hit it" pistol. I would say it is my favorite 1911.

The one on right is a Colt Combat Commander. I'm still getting used to it, but it shoots well.

They are all beautiful! Nice shooting! What ammo were you using?

Imagine that! A range report from Teddy, all with Colt 1911's. Just messing with you Teddy. Good report! Those are all great looking guns and you shoot them well also. I use W231/HP38 on all my hardball loads, but I haven't tried it with 200 gr cast. I use 5.2 - 5.3 gr with the 230 gr jacketed bullets. How much W231 do you use with the 200 gr bullets? I've been using WST and Bullseye.

I use 5.3 gr. It has worked well in every 1911 I shoot it in.
