Default Lyman Great Plain Rifle .54 Cal Range Trip

I am totally happy, I mean really over joyed with my results... not only with my Lyman Great Plains Rifle, but the Substitute BP AKA Alliant Black Mz. No scrubbing between shots or after 5 or 6 strings, but I kept shooting about 20 shots down range, no muss or fuss.

The first 4 shots at my AR500 steel target, one of them second punched over the other.

Clean up after all that shooting was a snap, unlike using real BP.

Will I continue to buy Alliant Black Mz, you bet.

Just for giggles, after we were done shooting with the muzzleloader, I brought out my Ruger GP100 6" and was hitting that 10" AR500 plate at 50 yards, with my reloads 158-gr SWC over 16.5 gr of H110... not a mild load

Another range session today.. along with a friend who had his inline .50 cal out for the trip as well. He kept having to clean his bore after several shots, seemed every couple shots actually. He was totally surprised when I kept shooting, and loading and shooting 20 loads.

Here is the last 6 shots, of 20 that I shot today... using Alliant Black Mz powder.
