Default A hint that you may be overloading the range bag

Picked up the range bag yesterday and the D-ring holding the strap gave up.

I either need to lighten the load by taking less or need wheels to move the gear. Ammo was in another bag.

I usually end up with a bag full of pistols, three or four rifle drag bags, one with ammo and another one with a spotting scope, tri - pod, targets and other miscellaneous supplies. I have to haul it all in my truck. Going out just to hunt is much easier.

By the time I drive 34 miles to the outdoor range, unload my stuff, set up the spotting scope, sand bags and staple up targets, I'm plum worn out. But I just keep on doing it.

About the same distance for me. Then I have to drag all the stuff down a hill to the ranges. Can't get the vehicle any closer than 100 feet from one of the ranges. Time to get a wagon, I suppose. Can't see not taking a bag full of pistols, rifles, etc.

Question Keep it simple, keep it fun!

I'm just taking 2 or 3 handguns and maybe 400 rounds plus eyes and ears and that's a load. You guys are crazy lugging all that stuff. It turns a good time into work!

A good day at the range beats a good day at work every time!

Talking

I haven't worked since July 2007. I have either forgot or blocked out the feeling

No respectable range trip includes less than 4 rifles and a half dozen handguns. After all, when you drive that far, you need to make it worth while. I just need to find an illegal alien to be my gun and equipment bearer.

I went to Walmart yesterday evening. From what I can tell, you shouldn't have any problems finding someone to help.
