Default Lawn tractor tires

Has anyone bought new tires for a lawn tractor lately?

The tires on our Craftsman were all cracked and kept going flat, so I thought I'd put new ones on it . Boy are they proud of them. $54.95 each for rear and $37.95 each for the front ones.

I think I've bought cheaper tire for the old pickup.

That's not good news. I got a big Craftsman lawn tractor and the right rear tire has a big knot on the sidewall.

I bought 4 new tires for my Ranger Pickup. Went to the place where I've always bought my tires, and when he priced them, I thought he was trying to rip me off. After I checked around, he had given me a good price. When he put my tires on, he said "you hadn't priced any tires in a while", and I told him no, that I hadn't. I hope other people's income is rising faster than mine. The Gov. said that we didn't have inflation, and didn't raise Soc. Sec.

Thumbs up

Lowe's seem to be reasonable on tires mounted on rims. Nothern tool is pretty cheap selling just the tires.

I'm afraid I'll have to put tires on the Impala before Winter. They still look pretty good, but they are the original tires and have just over 40,000 miles. There are 2 things I don't scrimp on - tires and batters. The last set of tires I bought cost over $500 for 4. Somehow, that just seems outrageous.

I needed new tires for my scraper. I told the guy at the tire shop that I wanted two of the cheapest 14" tires he had. He sold them to me for just under $200.00, mounted, with tubes. I said I just want two tires, I didn't want to buy the whole shop! We laughed. I buy a few big truck tires every week to replace those that were damaged in accidents. I've watched the price go up a little at a time for the past few years.

Did you try TSC, if you have them in your area?

That is where i ended up the last time we needed tires for the John Deere RX-75.

Two back tires for the ZO6 are $655. Fronts are still good. Can't figure why the backs wore out so fast.

I'll never complain about a full set of 4 for under $500 again
