1988 Honda CRX. Safety is the key. Would turn 4 and a quarter at 100mph. Best run was from Wichita Falls to Dallas; 96.4mph average, which was just faster than Dale Earnhardt winning that weeks' NASCAR race. Safety is the key.

(By the way, we don't call each other liars around here. We're from a generation that believes a man's word is as good, probably better than his money.)

Unless you're talkin' fishin' stories. Other than that, yes sir.

I don't understand anything you said but I call . Are you sure you don't have gear oil on the brain. I know what a Honda CRX is ....

Just kidding you Dave. I don't want Calvin to ban me for flaming you. I'm sure whatever you said up there is true & a CRX would blow Vetter's doors off. No really... I'm serious .

What I just said was true. 4 and a quarter at 100 and safe. 96.4 from Wichita Falls to Dallas SAFELY. Little green car's a cornering car, not a top speed car.

The 3 fastest cars that I have owned, based on the factory performance specs, as I would never push them to their limits

1. 1965 Pontiac GTO - 389 Tri-power (4 speed). 0-60 5.8 seconds. 1/4 mile in 14.5 sec (100 MPH).

2. 2002 Lincoln LSE - 3.9 Liter (5 speed auto). 0-60 6.4 seconds. 1/4 mile in 15 sec (94 MPH).

3. 1987 T-Bird TurboCoupe - 2.3 OHC Turbo (5 speed manual). 0-60 7.5 seconds. 1/4 mile in 15.7 sec (88 MPH).

I no longer have actual pictures of the GTO or the TBird, but the photos below are the exact packages and colors I had. I still have the Lincoln (stock photo)

I've never been able to afford a really fast car. I guess I would have to say a bright red 71 Camaro RS with a 350, a 4 barrel and 270 HP. It wasn't super fast, but it wasn't bad.
