Default Ammo

We went shoe shopping at Academy yesterday and, of course, I can't go there without looking in the firearms section. I'm used to seeing the handgun ammo shelves empty but, the rifle section was just as empty. There were maybe a dozen boxes left, some 350Legend and 300 Win. Mag.
I hope all the deer hunters are already stocked up. If not, you may have to look for sharp rocks to throw at the deer this year.

If I were hunting I'm stocked up on muzzleloader lead round ball in .54 cal... stopped by Cabella's and while my wife shopped I headed over to the ammo area... looked like it had been raided and empty shelves where abundant.

Glad I'm good with my traditional ammo and powder.

Default Ammo

I keep hearing that shelves are empty. I have not been in a store to see for myself...just as well.
I reload just about everything that I shoot (except for rimfires)....glad that I stocked up over the years.

I'm in the same boat as you Pete. I haven't been to a store either, but I have enough rimfire to last me until I die, have a stash of factory 9mm & .45 Auto ammo, and enough reloading supplies for pistol and rifle to last a loooong time. It sure pays to stock up "just in case".

Pete, the shelves around here are as bare as Mother Hubbard's cupboard.

rman, you have your bases covered for a while. I feel we are closer than ever to needing it.

I have enough reloading supplies to last Jake's lifetime.

Oh...yeah I forgot about that. We had a tremendous wind storm here that scattered all my guns and ammo to the wind. What a tragedy.

Smile Ammo score

Got a call from Fred this afternoon that our local Wally World had some 500rd Remington Thunderbolt 22LR bricks in stock for $10/500 limit of 3. So I bit the bullet (no pun intended) and picked up 3 500 bricks for $30. I went in, got the 3 bricks of ammo, and got the heck out of there.
