Comparing Goex, Kick and Elephant Black Powder
I realize that some use other sub powders, but for the re-enacting of times ie Revolutionary, Mountain Man, Civil War etc Black Powder is used 99.9% of the time.
I only use real black powder for our club shoots and should I attend a rendezvous as well. Lucky for me, I hooked into a sweet deal from an old guy that doesn't shoot any longer, and so he is selling me what he has left at $8 a pound Goex BP is now as high as $24.99 a pound, so I snapped up on this deal I got Practical Chronographic Comparison of Goex, KIK and Elephant Brand of Black Powder

You got a heck of a deal J_B! That ballistic article was interesting. It really shows how valuable a chronograph can be in developing loads.
