Well... Hickok45 likes it and he's not a Ruger fanboy.

I took it out today with different brands of ammo, even some +P. It ran like a champ. No failures at all, good trigger, good sights.
I don't shoot as well as Hickok, close---but not quite as well. But I think I did good. It's a fun gun to shoot.

Thanks for following up panther. It sounds like it's a winner.

Thumbs up Two thumbs up!

Panther, I watched the Hickok 45 video and looked up the specs and if I were looking for a full size carry pistol there would be no doubt I would buy two, (one for Wifey too). Wifey would like the thumb safety, I would like the slide serrations front and back and I especially would like the price and the fact it is MADE in USA. Ruger has a reputation for realibilty every bit as good as Glock and S&W, it's just personal choice. A lot of guys want a Glock because they are the TV pistols. I have 3 because of the size and weight but this Ruger has it all. I can't imagine anybody making a better self defense weapon, especially at that price point. Good luck with it Panther!

Just thought I'd add, I put about another 200 rounds through it yesterday. Still flawless, still a very nice shooter. I found the slide release button to be a little easier to use this time. It was so hard to push first time out, I just sling shot the slide to feed that first round. I don't see any signs of wear inside or outside yet. For a low priced pistol, it does seem well made. No walking pins, and no scratches on the slide from being laid down on the wood tables at the range stations.
All in all,nice little pistol.

Looks like you are enjoying yourself and that new pistol, panther. Sounds like a good one. Things should settle in and get even better with use.
