Default Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to you all from North Carolina.

I've been reading & enjoying this site (on & off) for awhile now. Thought I should say a word of appreciation for such a comfortable site.

I'm an Ohio native living in NC. Moved here for the waters & sunshine. Well, mostly the sunshine.

Three year Army vet from the Viet Nam era (not in country).

Obsolete motor-head with fading knowledge of Carter & Holley carburetors.

Long time gun-nut who thinks tin cans & water filled milk jugs are "the enemy".

I don't hunt or fish but am thankful for those who do.

Keep up the good work.

Happy Thanksgiving Ben! We're always glad to have a new "old-timer" come on board. I think you might be our first from NC. This is a friendly bunch and I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.

Benvenue, welcome to the best forum I've ever found and I'm glad you found us. We're a bunch of good old boys scattered around the country (even the world!) and we enjoy each others company. We have mostly the same principals and respect each other with a jab here and there. You'll fit right in. Most of us have obsolete heads and fading knowledge of Carter & Holley carburetors. Thank you for the Thanksgiving wishes and right back at you!

Welcome to the forum. Where in Eastern NC? I'm from Wilson and still have family in the area. Have you been there long enough to appreciate down-East BBQ?

A real way to get yourself designated as an old fart. A few years ago I was telling some regulators that we reduced emissions by retarding timing. One of them wanted to know what "timing" was. I started the explanation and another said "Bob, you and I are the only two people old enough to have any idea of what you are talking about." Got out my cane and mumbled something about my lumbago.

Thanks for the welcome.

Greener @ 5:31

We're in the Wilmington area. Been in NC for about 11 years. First two years in Rocky Mount while my wife finished with Sprint.

I like down East BBQ but it doesn't like me. Sweet tea is a no too. All things considered I've settled in nicely, bless my heart. A very good bunch of people here in the Old North State.

Oh yes, I had forgotten the joys of the timing light. Thanks, I need that reminder.
