From Middle Tennessee
Hello All, I have been hanging in the background for awhile and haven't been able to devote any time here. I must say that I love this forum. I see everything from reloading to gardening to all sorts of fun stuff. I found out about this site from rugerforum and drifted over here. I like the folks over there but they are far too political for my tastes. I prefer life a little less extreme, more gentle.
I live in Franklin TN and moved here to be with my bride. I got married for the first time at the age of 52. It is my first time being hitched and hers also. I grew up here in TN but have lived all over the world and enjoyed every minute of it. My last home was in Anchorage AK where I lived for ten years and worked as a flight instructor, flight engineer (reciprocating), and a commercial pilot flying light single and twin engine aircraft into rural/remote Alaska. I have grown my first garden ever and due to the fact that I had no idea what I was doing, it is a good start but it could have been much better. It has been fun and quite the learning experience. Hopefully next year will produce better. I will try some cool weather vegetables this fall and next spring and see how well I do with those. In firearms, my main passion is single shot rifles, single action revolvers, and 1911s. I reload for all the center fire cartridges I shoot. I have been ill most of the summer and haven't shot much but normally I am always out putting holes in paper. I also love hunting and fishing (fly fishing most of all). Even though I am aging and over weight, I still go back packing and camping a couple of times a year. I just don't walk as far as I used to. I love canoeing, camping, exploring, photography, reading, movie watching, cooking, and a whole lot more. Glad to make everyone's acquaintance. punkinlobber |

Thank you for your welcomes! I will try to spend more time here. Early wood duck season is coming up and I'll soon be planting cool weather vegies in the garden. I don't archery hunt but in two months or so muzzleloader season starts so I'll bring some of that to the table also. Sounds fun.
