Happy New Year. First pot of coffee for the 2014 is on. Doughnuts from Sweetwater's Doughnut Mill, best anywhere, are here to ring in the new year.
11F in East Lansing. Was about that when I grilled the New Year's Eve steaks last night. Will be packing the truck and heading south to warmer climes in a bit. Thought I'd wait to see if the snow lets up as the weatherman predicted. Had fun with the kids and the grandkids. Spent a while yesterday making block towers so my 20-month old could knock them down. He has me well trained. Y'all have a great day. I'm off to Virginny in a bit. |

Happy New Year everyone. Thanks for breakfast Greener.
Let me add my wishes for a great new year for us all. Starting a new job has made it a stressful one for me. I think it's going to turn out to be a good move in the long run. I hope 2014 is a good year for freedom, liberty, security, and for our families and the ones we love.

I'm doing exactly what I said I would do today, NOTHING! Well, other than eating good stuff, laying in the recliner and watching movies. Thank God for Netflix! They say what you do New Years Day you do all year so it's zero work for me today! My only resolution is to read the bible. I've started but only have finished the instructions on reading and understanding it. I always read from cover to cover but this tells me to really grasp what I'm reading to start with the book of Mark then the book of Acts and on to the book of Romans and so on. By the time I have read it all I am supposed to understand it all. If I'm cramming for my final it is a good idea because it'll probably take me 25 years to finish it!
Have a great day gang! |

Dang it! Vetter, I forgot all about not working today. I really haven't done that much so maybe the labor gods won't hold anything against me.
Its time for a New Years Day drink and I'm buying.
