PTSD suicide rate...
I had no idea how bad the statistics are of vets suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder death by suicide rate is. You will find this hard to believe but, 22 a day, average die by their own hand and less than 1 a day, average die in combat. This won't be getting better any time soon without help because 1 in 5 returning from deployment suffer with PTSD. Total daily suicides in America is 88 average, so 1 in 4 are vets. These figures are far beyond anything I ever thought possible. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is real and taking a real toll on our heroic men and women daily. Instead of throwing money at our enemies we really need to throw it into helping those who are suffering enough to remain quiet and take their lives. I hate to post such a downer but this hit me hard and I'm sure y'all were shocked at the stats as much as I was. Prayers will be sent nightly by me for them all. "Thanks for your service" is a very nice gesture but they desperately need professional help.

We beat the Nazis, Japs, and Italians in 4-5 years. Today politicians run the war and put our boys through ten+ years of hell, and no clear victory or purpose.
The corruption at the top is a disgrace, and our boys pay the price.

Sad update...
I hate to dig up downer stuff but just yesterday seen where we have passed the 5000 PTSD suicides a year mark. Thanks to this administration's budget cuts where they are needed and expenditures where they are NOT we are losing the battle on our own soil by our own sword. Shame on America for allowing our hero's to suffer and die. Those of us lucky enough to not have suffered PTSD probably don't understand it. I pray we learn to understand, more effectively treat PTSD and end it forever. Amen.
