Default Cases

Do you buy a gun and keep the case or box it came in? I always do, but I was in a couple gun stores in the last week and found an awful lot of guns for sale with no case or box. I've always felt like the box was part of the package you get with the gun, like owner's manual, extra mags, etc.
Do you feel the same? Or, with so many offering cardboard boxes now, is it a dying feature with a gun?
I've found that growing up in the sixties was alot more fun than being in my sixties.

I used to be short, young and good looking. Believe it or not, I'm still short.
