Default FA BB gun

My son and my three grand kids are in from the west coast for a month.
Just as a goof I ordered a Umarex "Steel Storm" BB gun from PyramydAir. Looks like an oversized MAC-10 and runs on two 12 gram CO2 cartridges. Fires single shots or six shot bursts. Spring-loaded 30 shot magazine and a 300 shot reservoir.
Great fun.

We're gonna need a range report on that.

Our grandchildren are too young (& wild) for that but Grandpa is looking at pellet rifles just for the fun of it.

Well....not a real range report (That can be found at PyramydAir.

The thing is great fun and rips through the BB supply fast. Accuracy in single shot mode - I put on a little TruGlo reflex sight that was sitting around - is comparable to a Daisy BB gun, just a bit harder to aim since there is no shoulder stock.
In burst mode, accuracy is good enough to chase a soda can at seven to ten yards but that may be because there's a lot o BBs flying around. (gotta be careful about hard objects and ricochets).
The twin 12 gram CO2 cartridges last surprisingly long.
Bursts have to be spaced a bit, otherwise the CO2 freezes the gun.
My grandKids love it and the plastic gun is light enough for them to handle, despite it's bulkiness. It is a way to start them learning about safe gun handling.
Maybe a Cricket next year.
