That would be great Pete! It would be fun to see what kind of close range accuracy this would provide.

Default Partial test - chronograph

So....I was able to get a chrono test in this afternoon using the pellet adapter as shown and two pellets. The bottom line is that the adapter works, though there is at least one quirk.
Velocity is not spectacular - it is OK.
Accuracy tests will have to wait at least a day.
Firearm: T/C Encore 15" .223 bbl.
Primers - Win. 209
Pellets: Eujin 28 grain - Avg. 450 fps
RWS Hobby 11.9 grain avg. 690 fps.

If you have a .223 and want a pellet gun to plink with - and don't want to spend $ on a pellet gun - this is an ok alternative.
About the drill out - could be a "D" bit is better than a "C" or something between the two.
IT is VERY important that the pellet 1) be seated square 2) be seated all the way into the neck - to the case mouth. Might be better to use neck sized brass.

Default Quick and dirty accuracy test

Quick and dirty. These adapters have potential.
First - I used five different adapters - all drilled out .223 brass, necksized.
I used RWS Hobby pellets at 11.9 grains seated with the tip of the pellet at the mouth of the case. Fed. 209A primers.
The rest was the dirty part. Shot off a three legged hunting stool, no bench - I used a shooting stick. Iron sights. The T/C 15" Encore. It was windy. Target at 25 yards.
You can see the almost circular arc of movement from my oscillation while shooting.
Eight shots. I tried the heavy EuJin pellets - no good - more than a foot higher and widely spaced.

From a proper bench, with scoped rifle....maybe a lot better.

That's not bad accuracy at all Pete! It probably shoots a better in your TC than it would in an AR 15. I'm guessing your barrel probably has somewhere around a 1:10 or 1:12 twist. Anyway, if the noise isn't bad, it looks like it would be a good little backyard pest shooter.
