Albany NY.... Mental Health Checks for every gun purchase
Want to buy a new rifle for deer hunting? Mental health check. Want to buy a shotgun for your wife to keep in the house while you're at work? Mental health check. Want to transfer your Grandpa's shotgun to your adult son? Mental health check!
If you tried to just ignore it, you'd be looking at a felony conviction and up to 7 years in prison! New York Bill Requires Mental Health Checks Before Every Firearms Purchase!

No mental health checks!
They are making Virginia look good. How stupid can these lawmakers be, leave the criminals walk the streets armed, while someone who has their problem(?) under control and has never done anything wrong is now left with no means of defense. I sure hope it doesn't pass.

Vetter, Virginia will want to copy this.
It looks like you automatically fail this mental health test if you voluntarily live in NY. |

The only psychiatrist I ever had any dealings with was Walt Menninger. He taught a class at the police academy and also interviewed every prospective police cadet. He was part of a family group that had a world renowned clinic in Topeka, KS. They treated movie stars, politicians and other weirdos. That guy was the craziest man I ever met. And those kind of people are going to judge whether or not I should be "entrusted" with a firearm? God I hope not!
