10mm caliber pistol.......Geez
I was wondering if anyone here has a 10mm cal. pistol and what brand of pistol is it please. I have found that they do have excess recoil if fired in the Smith & Wesson model and the Dan Wesson also, tuff to keep that left hand on the pistol for us right handed folks.
However, I discovered that when shooting a GLOCK 10mm caliber pistol the recoil was less and my hand never was forced off the gun. I have 3 of those Glock 10mm's two of them are in the model 20 and the other is a model 29 sub-compact. Both shoot very accurately and great for the CCW tool also. Yes, ammo is not cheap by any means but I figure it is worth the cost to be able to carry the extra fire-power.

I've never fired one, but my wife shot a Glock 20 and loved it. She normally carries a .357, so a 10mm was no big deal to her.

The only 10mm I have is the Glock 20SF. It's comfortable and fun to shoot, it's expensive, and the reloading componants/ammo are not readily available in our area.
The 10mm WILL NOT REPLACE MY BELOVED 45ACP. |

I have a lot of respect for the 10mm round, but have never owned a gun that shot them. I have too many calibers to load for now.

I had the Glock 20 SF and loved it, have probably a 1,000 empties for it and reloading dies. The prefered ammo of carry choice for my parts is the 200 gr WFN @ 1300 fps by Double Tap ammo. The G20SF with full power loads, is a nice shooting handgun.
Another one is on my list for this next year. I would not consider any other 10mm other than a Glock.

My son-in-law has a Delta Elite. He likes it and it's his carry gun. When you are 6' 8" and weigh around 400, you can conceal almost anything.
I haven't fired it. When I was in Anchorage we were going out to shoot it but couldn't find 10mm ammo in any of the 5 places we went. He wasn't all that interested in using his SD ammo as tin can killers. Don't recall seeing 10mm at Wally World and haven't checked my favorite gun and tackle store. I guess 10 mm isn't all that popular a gun and ammo could be scarce unless you reload. |

Greener I actually have 3 of those Glock 10mm pistols, one is a model 29 sub-compact that I carry with my model 21-sf .45acp. It is very hard to beat a GLOCK pistol for CCW work. Holy Cow!...........400 pounds and 6' 8", he don't need a pistol just a base ball bat made of ash tree.

The varmints where he lives can easily top 1000 lbs. During the great ammo hunt in Anchorage and Wasila, we could find .45 win mag, but not 10mm. So I got to be one with my inner Charles Bronson and shoot a Wildey (at $1.50/bang) but we held off on the Delta Elite.

That should have been fun, in spite of the cost!

Greener so your a Charles Bronson fan hey! I got to meet him one night many years ago face to face, I really didn't recognize the man really as they called him "Chucky Bronson". You PM me and I'll tell you the rest of the story ok.
You can not go wrong carrying a .45acp in a GLOCK~!!!
