1000 yard range coming to Kansas
Some news that's been on the KSCCW site for a while.
A fellow who my wife and I have taken training classes with is in the early stages of developing a 1000 yard range. It is between Overland Park and Emporia Kansas. He is Bill Regina, and his organization is SRT (Specialist Research & Training). I'll fill in more details as this unfolds. It will be interesting to learn the skills involved in reaching out that far. Take care. |

A range like that would be neat to have close by.

No bifocals required but at a 1000 yards don't you have to get permission from Calvin in OK. to shoot safely?

Sounds interesting SlackGuy. That is right down Kansas45's alley. I don't have any rifles up to the task. (or the skill either)

Will it be indoor? Will it have A/C? Will it have "Handicap Lanes" with automatic target carriers? I sure can't walk that far. Can you shoot rifles there as well as handguns? 1000 yards, how the heck many miles is that?

Heck Calvin, you have one right up the road @ Sand Springs.
Well maybe a ways up the road anyway.
