Calvin, if you can get that close to your squirrels you wont need a scope heck even the wind from the pellet could be fatal

Ordered a set of scope rings and a pellet pen. That pellet pen sounds good for an old fart like me that barely can use his hands because of arthritis. I tried loading it by hand, and dropped more pellet than what I shoot.

Smile Pellet and gun test

Finally think I got the Rem. done and put blue loctite on the screws. Don't know if I told you but if the 2 front stock screws and or the screw in the trigger guard loosen up it will really throw your gun off. I tried several pellets through the gun to see what it liked. The Crosman HP seems to do fairly good in all my guns. The predator shot the worst. Next worst was the pointed Crosman pellets....inch to inch and a half groups. The JSB super domes did almost as good as the crosman HP's with about 3/4 inch groups. But the best in this gun so far was the Crow mags from Beeman in 8.80 gr. They kept all the pellets in the 1/2 inch circles on the target and all were touching in one ragged hole. Now thats better than this old man should be able to shoot.
Always amazes me on how each gun seems to like different pellets. Got some different 22 cal pellet types coming to see what the Crosman Nit. piston short stroke likes the best? All these tests were shot at 15 yards indoors. Wind really effects these 177 cal. pellets but this is to be expected.

Calvin, hope you ordered the one piece scope rings with a screw stop. These springer guns can move scopes around.

Took it to the Ranch and sighted it in some. Didn't have any way to hold it still, but got it where I could consistently hit the bottom of a beer can at 50yds. Got the Tech Force 3x12-44 air rifle scope, with adjustable yardage. Also got the one piece, heavy duty, high mount with the set screw to keep it from moving. I'm amazed at the power and accuracy. Not much different that a .22lr. The Pellet pen is the cats mew for someone like me that has trouble with arthritis in the fingers and can't use them very well. I don't have any problem putting the pellets in the gun with the pellet pen. If Sharon is around, I get her to fill up the pen. Y'all have got me hooked on the springers. Now I'd like to get one of the .22 magnums that shoots about 1200 fps.
