I'm not trying to hi-jack your thread JB, but here's the Hogue grips I have on my Ruger Super Blackhawk. Very comfortable grips for those heavy hunting loads.

Thanks Teddy Bear, I've had the Hogue Mono grip before, felt it was just too long for my hand, as well as conceal carry. I really do like the Hogue Bantam grip, which seems to be just perfect.

Gosh dang it! I wish Spring would get here. I'm anxious to see how that Redhawk shoots J_B. (Teddybear that SBH looks kind of familiar - oh yeah, I have one too.)

Thanks rman, I wish it were Spring as well.... but I am getting all my reloading stuff together for the .44 Spl/44 Magnum and the .38/.357 Magnum. The non-gas checked bullets are sure cheaper.

Well after running the Redhawk through a series of shooting... I have to admit, I don't like the grip angle, with or without the Hogue Bantam grip. So I found a buyer for it, oh well they'll be something else down the line.

Maybe a S&W 629? Actually all those DA revolvers can be a handful will heavy loads. The recoil is mostly straight back into the web of your hand instead of rolling up with recoil like a single action. That's why I like the Super Blackhawk.

I think I'll keep the Redhawk 44 Mag

Look at the size of that enormous paw!!

Just in case you were thinking you don't really need bear spray or a large caliber handgun in MT: this bear is being relocated from the Lincoln area to Glacier NP right now.
