Default Ruger Security 9

Anyone seen one of the new Ruger Security 9 pistols yet? It's a new entry level pistol, like the S&W SD9 or Walther Creed. Hammer fired, polymer, 15rd mags, and priced around $300. I hear they discontinued the SR9E and this is it's replacement.
Sorry, no link right now. I haven't had my coffee yet.

I hadn't heard of them until your post. They look like they might be a nice, low-cost pistol. Ruger engineers have been busy. After reading your post, I took a look at Ruger's web site. They also have a new 9mm semi-auto carbine, the PC. It takes SR9 magazines and comes with an adapter for Glock mags. A Ruger American mag adapter is available from Ruger. It has a reversible mag release and charging handle. It is a quick take-down like a 10/22. Ruger also announced the Ruger Precision Rimfire Rifle. They also list an EC9s. There is not much info on it, but it looks like an economy version of the LC9s.

The Security 9 is the replacement for the 9e, it has forward sarations on the slide etc It also comes with 2 magazines unlike the 9e.

I haven't fondled one yet, but the Security 9 looks interesting.

I handled one at the indoor range today. It feels good in the hand and has a pretty good trigger. It's kind of interesting in that it is not striker fired. It has a small internal hammer like the old model LC9, and has a 1911-like manual safety. It also has the trigger blade safety like the striker fired guns. The trigger/firing mechanism is supposed to be like the LCP II.

Thumbs up Rugar Security 9 at our LGS for $299 with 2 - 15 round mags

They have them at our LGS for $299 with 2 - 15 round mags. Look pretty much like they have everything you could want in a sidearm for a very reasonable price.
