The new Florida gun bill is law, sorta....
I read 3 or 4 different takes on the law and you must be 21 and wait 3 days. This has always been the law except LEO or CWP holders take them home right away. This new law still allows a LEO to take it the same day but no mention of CWP holders, so Vetter may have a 3 day wait, no big deal. The best is no ban on any "assault" weapons or hi-cap mags. Some teachers who want to and meet certain requirements will be able to carry. Here is the "sorta" part, it's up to all the counties to vote weather to enforce the laws or in Gonernor Scotts own words, "the counties can just say no." Is that stupid or what?

The NRA has filed suit over this, to block the age restriction.

Funny how being 18 makes you old enough to vote and fight and die for your country, but not old enough to buy an AR15. (Oh and by the way, I'm tired of the news media calling them "military weapons".)

None of us are fond of that "military weapons" BS label. They are "look alikes," yes, but don't do 3 round bursts or function full auto and if they did, so what! We are all background checked non felons and should be able to own whatever the heck we want!

Darn it greener! You've got to quit listening to those "media firearms experts".

Remember folks, everything you have is pretty much like a military weapon of war. I remember when everyone seemed to want one of those surplus '03 Springfields, bolt action and all.
