I've had a GTO, fast.
A 99 Corvette 350/350, faster.
An awsome 383 Mopar with dual Carter AFB's on a ram intake, ram exhaust manifold and a Spicer 4:11 rear, scary fast.
Then there's "The Bad Booger", Borla cat back, Bassini X pipe, intake mod and pro tuned. Dyno read 485 RWHP. Unbelievable! 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds and the quarter mile in 12.2 seconds at 119 mph. Top speed supposed to be about 200 but I'll never know!

Here are some of the better ones...........

1957 Chevy 327 ci 325 hp 4 speed transmission (my favorite)
1965 Super Sport Chevy (fast, but handled like a pig)
1967 Super Sport Chevy (this is the one that dads cousin got me in)
1970 SS 396 El Camino (very fast on the drag strip)
1970 Dodge Challenger (10.70 was as fast as it ever went in the 1/4 mile)
1969 Corvette T-Tops 427 ci 4 Speed transmission Metalic Green never really liked that car
Several Modified & Super Modifed dirt track cars. There is nothing quite like the feeling of running a open wheel Super into turn one at the old 1/2 mile track in Oklahoma City at 135 mph with a guy right next to you sliding sideways just like you was doing, or running 145+ on the high banks of Belleville with the right rear tire only a few inches off of the wall.

Life was good back then.

I liked that one - it wasn't all that fast, but was probably the fastest thing I ever had. I had a little 62 Chevy 2 door with a 327 and a 3 speed that was amazing quick for a little stocker. It had the sweetest set of pipes I ever heard - not real loud, just enough to sound sweet.

I can't image running that fast on dirt. The closest I could come to that was racing go-karts on a 1/10th mile dirt oval. Never really went all that fast, but when your butt is only a couple inches off the ground, it seems like it.

Some pictures of some old pictures:

My #02 Super Modified. I usually had this car painted Red & White. I don't seem to have any pictures of that one though. It's orange here after a complete rebuild from a crash on the 1/2 mile in Oklahoma City. I wrecked it on Friday night, bought a new chassis, front end & a lot of other stuff on Saturday morning @ Nance Speed Shop in Wichita & made it to 81 Speedway in Wichita for Sundays races.

Decided I needed a Afro. It didn't fit too good in my helmet & I cut it off the next day! I had a lot of fun on dirt tracks in Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Nebraska & Kansas. I kinda' miss driving, but racing to win costs a lot of $$$!

The #04 car I drove sometimes. Belonged to a friend from OKC.

A few years ago getting ready to do battle in my IMCA Modified in Enid Oklahoma
