It's been awhile since we discussed this but I was involved in the follow up of a house remodel recently. They installed LED recessed ceiling lights in a dining room and kitchen. They looked great and put out a very nice light in the rooms when first installed, but half of the 30 or so lights that were installed failed in some way or another before the house was done. Some just quit working. Some had dimmer switches that just didn't dim the lights.
They looked really nice, but it seems like they still haven't made them as reliable as they need to be to replace the old incandescent lights we're all used to.
