Definitely one that "someone" else cooks! For many years, I was the one who got elected to do the grill at cook outs. I don't exactly know why, as I'm not that good a cook and really don't like cooking. Now, I stay as far away from the grills as I can get and "find" other chores to do at cookouts! I do enjoy the "eating part" though!.................Dick

In my youth I spent two summer seasons as a short order cook. I decided I didn't like standing in front of a grill, so I'm with Dick about having someone else doing the grill-work.
We do have an outdoor grill because the wife wanted one. I do the grilling because she likes everything crispy & overdone. So I burn her hot dogs & do the rest in a more civilized fashion. On topic I do love grilled steak but the best here in North Carolina is called a pig-picken. Pulled pork done up on a grill in BBQ fashion with a touch of vinegar sauce here in the Eastern NC & a red sauce BBQ in the Western NC. They are pretty fair hands at chicken too. I make sure to attend any catered party where the good old boys are doing the cooking. Hush puppies, cold slaw & all. Good stuff. |

Pork roast slow cooked in the smoker is hard to beat.
