Default New Ruger Security 9 Compact

Looks like an interesting little handgun. Might give the Sig P365 some competition.

Thumbs up

Spec wise it's almost exactly the same as my G-26 but it's price point at MSRP $379. compared to $599. for the Glock would be a no brainer for me. Also the safety would make the Wifey happy and a 14 round available mag is cool too. They should sell like hotcakes at the coffee shop!

When they become readily available, they will probably sell at around $300. (I have too many small 9mm's already.)

I'm not looking but they sound like the cat's meow to my idea of a good carry pistol. Ruger's reputation for solid reliable pistols is as good as Glock's plus they are born in the USA. At that price they'll have plenty of buyers.

The full sized sell around $300-329 around here. I bet the compact will too. They are reliable pistols. The compact is a nice option.

You probably need one of those panther to go with your full sized one.

I saw one of the compacts in a store today. It was a nice pistol. It had the flush fit mag in it and I thought the grip was a little short. They said the other grip has a finger rest.
On the plus side, it was priced at $299 which is what this store sells the full sized for. Another shop in town is pricing them at $329.
I resisted temptation and didn't walk out with it.... this time.
