Records show it was sent to a J. Chiphead in Phila, PA. Understand that guy later moved to Florida and eventually went on to drive a Corvette.

True, he was my Grandpop!

Dec. 23, 1888 - Following a quarrel with Paul Gauguin, Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh cut off part of his own earlobe. He must have really been a nutcase!

Thumbs down We should take it back!

Dec. 24, 1968 - The crew of the U.S. Navy ship, Pueblo, was released by North Korea. The Captain of the Pueblo, Commander Lloyd M. Bucher, and 82 of his crew were held for 11 months after the ship was seized by North Korea because of suspected spying by the Americans.

I was in a transportation unit in the Army when it was captured and we were on high alert ready set to sail. Lucky it calmed down and I got to stay in the good old USA. That's the event that prompted me to get married. Most Americans don't realize that North Korea still has the Pueblo and it was recently given a fresh coat of paint and put on display as a trophy for Kim Jong-un.
