Good morning. Up late, doing the aged coffee bit.
Vetter, you are having way to much fun getting your cataract surgery. Good luck running the doctor gambit. My painter showed up two days in a row and I think he has all the patching done. I'd complain but I'm really slow at that sort of stuff. I did notice that they may be slow getting the job done, they are quick to cash the deposit check. Been watching the news go nuts over the tanks at the chemical plant. They don't understand chemicals or that the rule of thumb is best for this problem. Rule of thumb is putting your thumb between the problem and your eye. If you can see the problem, back up because you are too close. College football starts today. May be a great way to pass a rainy day. Y'all have a great day. |

Good morning. Coffee to get the morning started.
The rain is supposed to stop today. Doesn't mean my excuses will stop. Watched a lot of football yesterday. I'm beginning to think that online chat support is in one central location with the same script. I've been getting emails about my bills from an internet service provider in the UK for a year or so. They haven't responded to emails saying wrong email so I went online to chat support. After I told them they had an incorrect email address and that I didn't live in the UK nor was I a customer, the response was we can't find you in our system, what is your UK name and phone number. House is more than a mess than usual. Waiting for painting to get finished. Maybe that's why I've always done my own painting. Y'all have a great day. |

Good morning gang! Coffee please Molly, thank you. Rman I read where "The Reading of the Flowers" started in the UK. Probably by a local florist giving kickbacks to the funeral directors. Greener, that "internet service provider in the UK" story is a hoot! It sounds like a skit from an English comedy. Get a hold of Chris, maybe he can get it cleared up. Remember the painting crew I hired? took them over 2 months to finish my place on a job he said would be completed in a week. He had several jobs going on at once and his crew consisted of him, his daughter and her boyfriend. They were never all there and never worked more than a couple hours. They spent more time commuting, opening and closing cans and cleaning brushes than painting. Well, we waited until North Korea now has the H-Bomb on it's ICBM. What's next, we wait until they develop an anti-ballistic missile system to intercept our missiles? If the UN won't do it, the US has to. Everybody have a great day! Come on Junior, time is running out!

Good morning folks. Molly, can I have some coffee and pancakes with sausage please? Thanks.
It's going to be up near 90 today. It got that hot, and humid, yesterday too. No rain though for over a week. The grass isn't growing much, just the weeds. We were worried about our dog the last couple of days. She's a big yellow Lab. I assume she got into something that wasn't good for her. She didn't act sick, but she got sick to her stomach and had the runs. She's 10 years old and well trained, but this was the first accident she ever had in the house, and boy was it a doozy! I may have to replace some carpet now. She's all better now, but we don't know what she ate so I don't know if there's a chance she could find more. ( I blamed my wife's cooking, she blamed my cooking) My wife and daughter are back at the old hometown this weekend, it's the annual Fall Festival. All the high school reunions happen during this weekend. It's been real quiet at home. I hope you all are having a good Labor Day weekend.

Good morning. Coffee is going.
dowop, when you are retired do you have to worry about such technical things as time zones? Or can I just stay zoned out? Panther, your tale reminds me how much fun dogs can be. Waiting for a load of deck boards and my painter. Ought to be a fun labor day. Under the "Just apologize quickly" file: I failed to notice that the drain stopper in the bathroom I don't use stopped working. Spring clip on the pivot arm came off and appears to have disappeared into another dimension. A 2-cent clip lists for $1.40 but the only ones I've seen are closer to $9 because you have to buy the whole pivot arm assembly. The TV news is having a piece telling us that if your house is in 5' of water and is ground level, it might be wet. Whoodathunkit? Also, all you need is a battery backup sump pump. Let's see, I'm pumping my flooded house out into 5' of water. Big sump pump. Y'all have a great day. Y'all have a great day. |
