C Sharps in 45-70
Last Nov 23rd a very dear and close friend passed away, and he left instructions that his C Sharps was to be given to me. Bill didn't shoot it much, and so since owning it, it has pretty much been a safe queen.
Right now I don't know the barrel length or model, but I'll know in probably 7 days. Well no photo yet, but did find out that is was shipped today.

Today my C Sharps Model 1874 Bridgeport Sporting Rifle, 30" barrel 45-70 with mid range tang sight, and front globe sight with center post.
Post Edit I just got off the phone with C Sharps... my Sharps was finished and sent to Bill on Dec 27th, 2001

That is an elegant firearm. It's almost too pretty to shoot.

Going out on Weds to shoot the Sharps at this target. The red center is only 1", so well keep it at 50 yards for now. I'm making others on a larger scale, for longer ranges. The top target was laid over others, for the photo.

Cool J_B. I used to shoot cowboy silhouette at a range North of Salina, KS. They also had black powder matches there. They had a life-sized steel silhouette of a buffalo at 500 yards that they used in the BP matches.
