Thumbs down My 2011 garden is dead...

My garden mostly died. Peppers are still good but my favorite, tomatoes fried. We did what we could to keep them going. I may not plant next year.

The only thing I have left is some potatoes still in the ground, and Okra. Everything else is gone.

The extreme heat and drought made this year a bad one for gardens. We usually buy home-grown tomatoes from a lady in Topeka clear up until mid-September. This year her tomatoes were burned up by early August - way too many 100+ days in July.

I'm glad I didn't have time to mess with a garden this year. I plan on putting one in just North of my shop next year though.
