Default Smith & Wesson mod 69 Range Report

Being that my mod 69 is a 2.75" barrel, I kept my practice at 7 yards ie 21 feet. The top target were handloads that I did using 240-gr SWC loaded with 23.5 gr H110, and the bottom target I used the HSM 305-gr Bear Loads.

The 240-gr SWC didn't feel overly hot, but the HSM 305-gr Bear Loads were very noticeable with felt recoil. Would this revolver need magnaporting, for me no, but for the overly sensitive millennial

Good looking gun and some pretty fine shooting.
My hand hurts just thinking about bear loads.

The HSM 305-gr Bear Loads were not that bad to shoot, my hand wasn't hurting from those rounds. Surprisingly when I shot my Ruger Redhawk with the Underwood 340-gr +P+ loads, now there's whole nother story of recoil there. Glad I tested just 6 of those to know just how it will feel... would I want to shoot those all the time... NO WAY, but can I handle them, yes and accurately.

The best way to practice is with mild loads, it has a much more harmonious outcome
