Big fish fry at Dowop's house! Bring your own side dishes and beverages. Plenty of fish for everyone.

I'll be there with fried potatoes, coleslaw and a 30-pk of Bud Light! I'm getting ready to leave now.

I'll skip it, ate carp once, just a mouthful that I never swallowed.

If you grew up as poor as we did Vetter, you would have eaten it and been glad you had it. My Dad had a friend that lived in a shack on stilts right next to the river. He was always bringing over a gunny sack with carp and channel cat. The only gripe I had was that you had to watch out for bones. It tasted fine to me. Sometimes Mom would pressure cook it and you could eat it without worrying about the bones.
