Default Shoulder holsters

Who carries a 1911 in a shoulder holster, and what is your favorite? I'm wearing my Uncle Mikes today. I have another Nylon one, but I would like to try to find a nice leather two gun shoulder holster.

I don't use one anymore Kansas. When I worked undercover, I sometimes carried a Colt Commander in a shoulder holster with magazine holders on the opposite side. They work good for when you're driving, but the one I had, Safariland, was uncomfortable if I wore it for a whole shift. Too much weight on the shoulders and it made my neck and shoulders hurt.

I don't notice the weight at all. The only time I wear it is when I'm able to have a jacket or coat on.

That's cause you're a big ole redneck! (and you don't have bad vertebrae in your neck)

Same here. When I worked investigations (plain clothes) I carried my Colt Commander in a vertical Bianchi shoulder rig, and it was real comfortable. I had a Jackass rig for a while and it carried the pistol in a horizontal holster. It was never comfortable and I sold it to another detective and bought the Bianchi.

I kinda like wearing one. Hopefully I can find a good leather shoulder holster before long, maybe even a two gun one. Boy! Wouldn't that be something.

If you walk around all the time with your arms folded, it will speed up your draw. I can see it now - practicing your 2 gun draw in front of the mirror for hours!

This could get expensive. Can you imagine how many mirrors I would go through? Not to mention the 7 years of bad luck for each one I shot.
