Default Good race yesterday, bad news today...

Jimmy Johnson racked up another win but the big news is, Dale Earnhart Jr is retiring from full time driving at the end of this season was released this morning. Live press conferance at 3 PM on NASCAR Press Pass.

Myself, I'm happy for him and think he should have threw the helmet in after being prone to concussions. I think he wants to start a family and get off the treadmill. I'm sure he'll be in on the action doing whatever he pleases.

That's a good deal. I hope he's happy when he's not racing any more.

I think Junior will be just fine watching from the sideline.

He's contractually committed to race 2 Xfinity races next year. The weekend off before Bristol Amy and Him went to Key West, he has a beautiful house down there. I bet he and Amy decided they might like to spend more time down there. They got quite a list to replace him, Alex Bowman who replaced him 10 races with 3 top 10's. William Byron who had 7 Truck series wins last year. Kyle Larson is the hottest prospect, a media darling who Jr. praised up and down yesterday, he could maintain the 88 car's high profile and keep the all important stickers on the car. He would be my pick if Hendrick could get him to leave Gannasi. Junior could maybe talk him into leaving. Whoever gets it will face a lot of pressure.
