Thanks for the coffee Teddybear. I'm in Blue Springs, MO this morning. Tristan is trying out his new buggy on the indoor track at Fast Lane Raceway. So far, it looks like it is going to be pretty good. The setup still needs a little tweaking - the car is pushing in the corners. He took the rear weight off and we'll see if it works any better. I think I may take a short nap.

Howdy gang! Kansas, I'm so proud of you! Yesterday I scooped all the crap outta the pool. The thing gets full off these little baby bugs that clog the filter. Seems a gazillion (a gazillion is Obama's budget) hatch at once and they love to swim, but can't. I was able to scoop a lot out with a fine mesh net. today I'll vacuum it and clean the filter again. Or I'll mow the front. One or the other, Vetter don't multitask. Two Races later on today so I should get busy. Don't know if I can stay up to finish the cup race but it'll record. I hope Tristan can nail the set-up and get the new buggy perfect! I have to go on You Tube and check out RC racing. I don't know squat about it except they flat out fly! Kansas, Franne's sister's husband rebuilds and collects John Deere equipment. He uses a lot of it on his huge garden or mini farm, whatever you want to call it. He had my 2 year old great nephew on his lap driving the little JD riding mower. His "mud room" is full of JD collectables. OK gang, have a great day!

Here's a couple for you Vetter.

These are 1/10th scale electric buggies like one he just built. He'll be racing these indoors in Topeka starting Oct 1st.

These are 1/8th scale nitro buggies like the one he has been racing outdoors this summer.

Harvick is setting a fast pace in the Cup race and Smoke is closing in. I like Atlanta.

Good Labor Day morning to you.
Molly and Cinnamon are off today, but I made coffee and will be manning the grill. Order anything you want, as long as it's pancakes and bacon.
Got two coyotes this morning. A 95 gr Hornady SST traveling 2775 fps out of the RAT really puts the smack down on Ol' Mr. Coyote!
The RAT round is a 6.5 Grendel with a little more angle on the shoulder and necked down to 6 mm and uses a .243 bullet. Fast and flat shooting. I'm pretty impressed with this AR 15 / RAT rifle.
I loaded some more test loads while watching the Atlanta race last night. I'll go run them over the chronograph in a little while and check the accuracy at the faster speed.
It was a good race last night. Kane drove his butt off to win and put himself in the Chase. It was cool to see Jr, Gordon and Johnson come up to congratulate him.

Thumbs up

Rman, those buggers really move! It takes some real racer skills to run them and the passing is just like the big boys! I can see how you can get hooked. Thanks for posting them.

Morning folks. We had a storm here at 4am. Knocked out power for awhile but no damage.
I had fun yesterday. Went into my shed to get the mower and red wasps had built a pretty good sized nest in there. They are mean when you get near their nest. I got stung once on the leg, thankfully I was wearing long jeans, still hurt though. I emptied a whole can of wasp spray on those suckers.
My wife had surgery last week, women's stuff. She's recovering slowly, still alot of pain from it all. We see the Dr. again tomorrow.
Enjoy the day and take care of yourselves.

Good morning. Coffee and Labor Day brunch is on.

I had a nice, sunny day for a boat ride on yesterday. Loads of fun. I got the fish rolling at a plastic frog coming off weed lines. But not really taking the lure. It was enough to keep me at it until I beat that plastic frog to death.

Tried some of the pepper relish in chile yesterday. Warmed it right up, but I need to use more next time.

Off to mess around a bit for Labor day. Next door neighbor is making all sorts of noise with a chain saw.

Y'all have a great day.

Thumbs up Happy Labor Day!

I'm all ready, about an hour early for a change, to go to the Labor Day picnic. A soak in the pool with cold beer day. I drink that Bud 55 select. It only has 2.4% alcohol compared to 5.4% in Heineken, my former choice. I can drink 2-3 an hour and still be under the .08 if stopped. Tastes darn good too, especially bottled. Pool party is cans only. Kansas, I agree, it was a good race and I was real happy to see Kasey get in the chase. About time he got a break. Last couple weeks I thought Hendricks would dump Kasey and sign Larson but not now. With Edwards going to Gibbs, Busch better watch his butt. Gibbs is about at the end of his rope. Amazing car and driving by Kayne to get back in front after Kyle caused that late caution to help teamate Hamlin. It'll be interesting to see what NASCAR does about it come Tuesday. Kyle continued pushing Truex well after the yellow flag. OK, happy Labor Day, especially those who are still working. This day is for y'all!
