Photography is still my greatest. Doing the dark room magic will be greatly missed but I'll get over it and learn the digital art.

Photography is just not one of my talents. My wife is good and she and I can take a picture of the same thing and hers will look twice as good. I get her to do my picture taking.

Have been carving for a living ( until I retired) for 30 yrs or so.
Yes on building the bows. I have made 30 for them so far and am finally going to build a recurve for myself this year. Have only built 1 and that was for my best friend. He said it is the fastest bow he has shot and just loves it. He is in the mountains hunting Elk with it right now. He said the Elk are bugling up a storm right now. Talked to him on the cell phone this morning just before he headed out to the chase. Hope he gets one this year. Could sure use some Elk meat.

My girl friend just bought a 22 foot camper. Picking it up on Friday I think. Will be heading to the camp ground the 5th of October to break it in. Or at least break us in to using it. A big step up from a tent.
Any way, it is a 2005 Star Stream. It is used but well cared for. Now I have to learn how to drive while towing a camper. |

I have had a lot of hobbies over the years. Probably the top 3 are guns, hunting and fishing. I collect coins and antique pocket watches. I am an amateur radio operator. Astronomy is facinating, I have a 6 inch Edmund reflector. We have a 36 foot class A motor home and do a little RVing.
Calvin, tell us a little about that wind turbine in the photo. |
