Default Finally...another day at the range

I took my dog to the groomers in Lawrence, KS today. I had 2 hours to kill, so I went to the indoor range. Last time I shot the Ruger Mark IV Target. This time I took the Mark III .22/45 Target. It has a bushing installed that eliminates the magazine safety and a Volquartzen trigger that pulls at 2 pounds. I shot a total of 150 rounds of CCI Mini Mags. The first target I shot 50 rounds at center mass. It was hitting a little off, so I adjusted the sights (About 3 times). I shot another 50 rounds at the head after adjusting the sights. The second target I shot was 50 rounds center mass. The gun shoots good, but I did have 1 failure to feed and 2 light primer strikes. This gun has always been fussy. It does well up to 100 rounds and then it needs cleaned. All the mishaps were in the last 50 rounds. The Mark IV that I shot last time buzzed thru 150 rounds with zero malfunctions.

Dang rman. That's good shootin. I've often wondered why, with ammo technology advances that we see today, why 22 rimfire ammo is so dirty. I guess its the lube that collects the grit n grime. Anyway, glad you got in some group therapy.

Thanks Teddybear. It was fun and much needed. If it doesn't snow Thursday, (like it is supposed to), I'm going to go back to Lawrence for some more R&R.
