Default Stupid Tourist

In the words of the photographer Matt Suess Fine Art Photography

So in the last 1-2 weeks here in @yellowstonenps there have been 3 animal attacks that sent peeps to the hospital. Two from a cow elk and one from a bison.
.
Yet idiots still think this is a petting zoo!!! 😱
.
This was photographed this morning from my car with my 150-600mm lens while moving slowly in a bison jam.

There are no words to describe the stupidity of these people, everyone who enters Yellowstone National Park is given a handout on the bison.

And of course there are the signs that are colored yellow ie caution color throughout the park.

Guess these folks have seen too many Disney animated movies. It seems hard for city folks to understand that bunnies don't frolic in the woods with mountain lions and wolves. Good grief! Even 120 pound white tail does are dangerous when they feel threatened by humans.

(I would be curious to see what the majority of these idiots' political affiliation is.)

Question

There is some kind of stupid that can't be fixed and they both have it. How did they live to be adults?

The northern boundary of the Ft. Sill, OK, artillery impact area is buffered by a wildlife refuge. You can drive through it and enjoy bison, long horns, beefaloe, etc. I remember seeing some idiot getting out of his car and kicking a bull to get him to stand up. We were in a VW bug and the bull looked bigger than the car, so we left.

We were in a drive through wild game park near Springfield, MO a few years ago. The sky turned black and the radio warned of a dangerous thunderstorm. The road through the park was one lane and one way. A bison was standing in the middle of the road. I honked, but the bison wasn't fazed at all. He finally moved partly out of the road, but laid his head on the hood and stood there licking the windshield. The only thing that finally moved him was a tremendous bolt of lightning and thunder nearby. Needless to say we didn't beat the storm back to the hotel.
